I’ve moved on with some shading to give his face some shape. I’d better stick his other ear in place soon so he doesn’t look so lopsided. The curliness of his top knot is coming along good too. Just as a note, when I groom my own Standard Poodles I give them either a teddy ear or a euro ear depending on the weather. This graphite drawing shows Freedom with a teddy ear (the hair trimmed to the same length that the body is). A euro ear is with the hair shaved right down to the leather. Both of these styles are best for their lifestyle…in the fields and forest full of burrs.
