Finally this graphite drawing of an appaloosa has a head. This work in progress has been slow but so far so good. I am still finding it to be a challenge but now it is due to the size not motivation. I didn’t realize just how small the features of the head would be working on 9″x12″ paper until I started to lay down graphite for the eye. Yikes not easy for sure. I need to refine the nostril more. And then on to the front legs. I really feel the pressure at this point. I don’t want to make any major errors after all the work that has gone in to it so far.
